昨天看《超级星光大道》。一名参赛者表演不怎么样。得不到高分。挑战失败。但可以有加分题。

她的加分题项目是：“３０秒落泪”。她办到了。也竟然给她过关了。

我对dear dear 说，“这样也行。那我也可以参加＋过关了。”

因为我１０秒就可以了！

bit of a morbid title for a post on the 1st day of the chinese seventh month...

just something i thought off as i walked back today and saw an old ah-ma burning offerrings at the field next to my condo.

my first thought was, "is that safe? will the field go a-fire?"

my second thought was, "should i burn some for my mom?"

though we already did last sat - it's been one (chinese) year since that dreadful day. i don't like to call it anniversary / whatever because i don't think it's anything worth commemorating. or remembering, for that matter. i remember because i think she'd hate for me to forget.

and i burn incense and offerrings for her. no matter that i dislike the smell and heat and dust. because i'm worried that if these things are real, and i insist on not doing it because i don't believe, then she'd go without. so i do it. just in case.

so in a way, i've gone from a non-believer to a partial believer.

and in another way, from a believer to a non-believer.

it's been a while since i last wrote anything here. guess i grew tired. tired of feeling sad. and i gather you who's reading this should also be feeling tired of my sadness.

i haven't stopped feeling this sadness and the truth is, i probably never will. but i've learnt to force myself to stop as much as i can. although sometimes i just let it well over me so i don't forget.

sometimes i think this sadness is a balance. it's to stop my life from being too good. else some other misfortune will happen. so perhaps this sadness is good.

is there such a thing???

mebbe i'm just being silly.

and no, this post has nothing to do with national day. i just can't think of a good title.

i hate it that blogspirit makes the title field compulsory.


i love travelling. i hate flying. wish they can invent some transponding machine. save us time and discomfort.
though i'd probably not dare to use it in my life-time. scaredy-cat me.

can't wait till our next holiday. only just came back from our hk/gz/macau trip but it feels so long ago. too long ago.


i'm sick of singapore.

is that a very non-patriotic thing to say (type) on 9 aug?

it's not that i dislike my home country. i've always been aware of how lucky we're to be born in sgp. how safe. how secure. how advanced. how full of opportunities. and i've not been stingy about sharing that sentiment with others.

i'm just sick and tired of its people, its environment, its tiresome hold on me.

I'm growing to dislike my fellow men (and women) more and more.

Are there more and more of such inconsiderate, ill-bred imbeciles around?

Or is just my luck turning really bad these days?

All I've done for the past 3 days:-

• Eat
• Cook
  
• Sleep
• Watch TV
•  Surf net

I'm such a pig... :s

While my poor darling's slaving away studying...

Ganbatte dear! You'll be fine tomorrow... I know you will... :) 

Still got sore throat. But a sore throat I'm immensely grateful for. Since it indicates the fever is an infection, not dengue. :D

But now my poor dear dear is sick... All my fault...

Don't worry dear! I'll take good good care of you! *hugz* 

This time worse than last week.

So weak. I barely made it home.

I'm so scared it's dengue... :(

I love you and miss you...

My darling and me have been mosquito feed lately. Especially poor moi. At last count, I've:-
* Neck - 1 bite
* Hand - 2 bites
* Legs - 12!!!!! bites

We've tried almost all types of mozzie busters but to no avail.

Out of exasperation, I got on the website of http://www.dengue.gov.sg and input a short message in the Feedback section highlighting the sudden proliferation of mozzies in my area. That was between 3:30~3:45pm. 

At 4:03pm, I received a call. From NEA. Saying they've received my feedback and escalated to [some dept which name I didn't catch as I was too stunned].

My my. Not something I'd expect from a government agency.

And certainly not at such speed. 

*clap clap clap clap* 

Let's hope the follow-up action is as efficient. And more importantly, effective!
